here i am! starting the journey that can change who i am and how i will view the world for the rest of my life. what a scary thought. now with 26 days to go until i leave the UK for the bigger world, i finally got round to finishing off sorting out my visa for a work permit for New Zealand (eventually, with all left to do is actually sending it off).
my mind is boggled by everything, all the work that i have been doing and all the small things that i have left to do before i go. for example confirm the date that i wish to arrive home etc (ops) and sort out what i don't mind people getting me for my birthday for when i go away! but for now i am slowly working through the list and today's job was visa and now it seems sorting out my blog! how exciting. now all i need to do is remember the password and to continue to update it as i go around the place!
the question i want to be able to answer is how do i feel about my travels, mmm...
well i'm not sure that i can even answer that, it is going between excitement, fear, and ideas of the potential impacts that it could have on me. but what am i worried about most? probably the idea that i may come back with the same views on the world and God. how am i going to journey with God over the time i am away is going to be a challenge especially as i enter into cultures and people's lifestyles that will have no place for this supreme being. but what am i most looking forward to? at the moment the idea of all the photo's that i will be able to take :D and the memories that will be unique within each shot captured.
